The Origins: Genesis project is a fundraiser to launch Expressions, a community-driven creativity platform and social marketplace for digital and physical goods. Origins will showcase works by creatives in underrepresented communities around the world. 100% of the proceeds go to the artists and nonprofits. Origins: Genesis

Part of the Familiar Faces series, Vilano captures the stereotypical villain we find in old cartoons. The series finds its direction as the painting develops and begins to suggest a face that in my eye looks familiar. The title comes about when that certain something clicks into view. Once the title is established the painting moves toward making the face ever more familiar with my vision.
