There"s a very good reason that every settlement in the Teracoma Sandlands clings to the rocky mesas that jut from the dunes periodically, a beast so fearsome that the very desert itself was named as a warning. Mighty Teracoma moves beneath the sand as though through water, bursting forth to consume anything non-native that wanders into its vast territory. As a result, the interior of the desert was only explored and settled with the invention of aircraft, and even now human life is rare and difficult to maintain. Only the master trainer Joey Donuts was ever able to tame Teracoma, and as a result he commands immense respect from the inhabitants of that arid expanse.
