Gran Sasso d"Italia is a massif in the Apennine Mountains of Italy. Its highest peak, Corno Grande (2,912 metres) is the highest mountain in the Apennines, and the second-highest mountain in Italy outside the Alps. Here you can find the southernmost glacier in Europe.

Approaching the island of Capri, entering the port of Marina Grande you will be stunned by the colourful buildings and the majestic cliffs guarding the island of Capri. 
In more recent history, Marina Grande has become a gathering point for artists, writers and actors and it was an entrance port for many celebrities like Ernest Hemingway, Sophia Loren and Giorgio Armani.
If you are sailing the Amalfi Coast, this is definitely a marina to remember.

Amore a prima vista or "love at first sight" is the perfect title for this special photo. When you find your loved one, you know it from the first moment. Everything around you disappear and you can stay there and watch the time go by.
Capri is truly special, if you ever visit this beautiful island you will... fall in love.

One secret place to enjoy the most amazing sunsets in Rome is actually the cafe of the Capitolini Museums, just behind the Quirinale Square. When I have the opportunity, I love to go there and watch how the light of the sun disappears behind the beautiful pine trees of this city.

I pini di Roma

Via dei Fori Imperiali, is one of my favourite street in Rome. This beautiful walk connects the Colosseum to the Altar of the Fatherland dedicated to a free and united Italy. This altar has been built on top of the ruins of the ancient Roman forum. Every time I look at this monument, it reminds me of a phoenix rising from its ashes.

In Positano, a World Heritage Site, it is forbidden to build new buildings! But also, when the Positanians intend to repaint their buildings, they absolutely cannot choose a color different from the original one otherwise you will incur a salty fine as well as being forced to repaint again. 
I really hope the colours of this beautiful place will remain unchanged for generations to come.


Colors that never change

Positano is one of the most beautiful and iconic places of the Amalfi coast. 
Even Picasso was a guest of this city and called it the "Cubist City" because it develops completely vertically.

This photo is a view of the Cathedral "Santa Maria della Salute" from the bell tower of "San Marco", the main square of Venice.

This shot is truly special for me as represents the meaning of photography itself. I was lucky to witness one of the most beautiful sunset of my life and yet, I was struck by how the light of the setting sun was reflecting through the main windows of the Cathedral. In the following days, and over the years, I tried to go back to the same place at the exact same hour but I never got to see that beautiful light again. That red sparkle in those small windows was gone.
 
This is exactly what photography is for me. No matter how hard and how many times you try to replicate the same settings. That light, that exact moment, once passed, is lost forever. 
Each photo you take is truly unique, you just need to be there to capture it!
