Of all the communities I am a part of, the Norugsstudio stood out to me, headed by David. As a homage, to the Metarebelz and Norugsstudio, I made this song. My wife, Katia Ram made the artwork for this. 
 
I am krp, or Kannan Ramachandra Prabhu and I am a musician from India. I used to live in a monastery for 8 years and am now trying to pursue music full time. I currently live off of my Retired Father"s basic Financial support. He even got me an Iphone which has helped people to finally hear me, with Android people just could not hear me!

Somewhere Far Away is an emotional, bass heavy, dark electronic pop song about depression, and inner turmoil.  

The lyrics of this song spilled out of me at 2am one night in a moment of pain and sadness.  I am just grateful to be able to channel this pain into art...

When we have depression or intense moments of sadness, we sometimes feel like we want to run away from everything.  Life can feel overwhelming, and like the only escape is leaving everyone, and everything we know behind.  

Somewhere Far Away is about the impossible dream of running away to a place where everything magically feels better. 

No one knows what its like to be you, or be in your mind.  No matter how easy you life might seem, if youre up at night having panic attacks, or suffering from any mental illness it can be hard to live even the cushiest, most blessed life.

this song is unreleased until now; it was created for a song contest using Bay Area band the parks sample pack on the producer platform kits. i lost :P but the vulnerability in this *record* still haunts me to this day, which is why i thought it might make for an interesting web3 drop.

Better Now (Freestyle) also feels like the natural B-side to my latest release, a cover of Coi Leray + Metro Boomins Self Love from the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack. they share the same confessional, urgent tone; i borrowed visual components from the Self Love MV to drive that connection home since I like the idea of web3 drops that parallel but dont exactly mirror what im doing outside of web3.

while ive been in the web3 world a while, this is actually my first music NFT drop, so its my genesis everything and genesis sound drop. ive been making music a long time and just finally beginning to hit my stride as an artist-producer. i hope youll join me in this journey, and above all else, put the music first!
