I Lost Myself (2023)

In the silence of a whispered breeze,  
I sought myself, yet found only trees.  
In the dance of shadows and the moon"s soft glow,  
I searched for me, but I didn"t show.

I lost myself in the vast sea"s tide,  
Adrift on waves, with stars as my guide.  
In the echo of the mountains tall,  
I listened for me, heard but a faint call.

Between the lines of ink and page,  
I felt a void, an empty cage.  
In dreams that fled with morning"s kiss,  
I missed the me, lost in abyss.
