About the piece: In order for the Phoenix to rise from its ashes, it needs to burn first. Often, hope rises like a phoenix from the ashes of shattered dreams- dusting its way through towards bringing light into void.

Human mind is a funny place. No matter how much Doyle emphasises on the greatness of Sherlock's mind taking shape of palaces full of constructive and contrasting thoughts, in reality at times we might just relate our minds to nothing more than a ditch. Back and forth with contemplation does lead to burnout of one's intellectual capabilities.

Learning how to free your inner self which has been caged up with the burden of heavy pondering, sometimes might feel like the weightless feathers of pigeons... And sometimes it shines on the raging glory of a phoenix rising.

The right train of thought has the power to take one to a better station in life. One should find that and hold on to it.

About the collection: 

2 Photos  1 Story - that is how I define my signature work on Split-screen or Diptych photography! When people ask me about this fairly popular body of work, I very candidly tell them that to begin with, they are extremely difficult to visualize - the execution part comes much later. More often than not, it is quite a daunting task to combine 2 or more frames together into one coherent story since most of them are not remotely connected to each other individually. Since my first collection of 1/1 diptychs received a lot of love and support from the community, I thought of coming up with a SECOND SET  this time with 10 of my favorite split-works to be released in sets of 5 with each piece having 10 editions.

About the artist- Sammya Brata is an award-winning street and documentary photographer, who has won the Canon Photo Marathon India in 2019 and has been an established educator, curator, mentor and a two-time TEDx speaker.
