Ayshia Taskin Intermedia and interdisciplinary artist based in Scotland working multimedia art with the production of sound and moving image making, printmaking, installation, web-based and performance art. Daniele Bongiovanni Palermo-based prominent Italian conceptual painter twice selected to show work at the Venice Biennale. His painting focuses on natural space, liminal and the human figure.

Vuoto Dello Spazio AKA Voids of Space, therefore, combines Daniele's paintings with a futuristic soundscape. The soundwaves extracted directly from the paintings which vibrate and create unearthly resonances, I use platforms that extract the tones from the 2D works and layer it with glitch elements, data-splicing, while also incorporating visual elements of my digitally generated artwork and Danieles conceptual paintings.

Daniele and I are exploring collaborative artmaking as digital exquisite corpse while ensuring painting can have a voice by allowing the traditional mediums to combine with digital technologies in an experimental fashion. As well as incorporating technology to generate soundscapes and explore experience beyond the physical realm, especially during the time of social distancing.

This work was exhibited in the 2021 Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art Biennial, which took place from April 30 through September 22, 2021. The 2021 mowna Biennial exhibited an international pool of artists selected from 44 countries gathered through a free call for submissions process that ran from January through March of 2021. The Biennial includes all forms of art made from 2019 to 2021. The show has been added to mowna's collection, which is available for viewing online at https://www.mowna.org.
