Every November for centuries, millions of people across the United Kingdom have gathered to burn bonfires that commemorate a failed arson attack on the British Houses of Parliament in 1605. Every year, local communities spend the Autumn months felling local materials and constructing the bonfire, preparing for a special night in November, upon which it is lit.

*Fires of the Community* is an 18-photo series of one of the largest bonfires in the UK, held annually in the village of Brockham for over 130 years. It tells the story of bonfire night, which the community comes together to create and enjoy.

**Rounded** is the eleventh photo in the collection. It is an iconic image of the bonfire perfectly harmonised, in *full-flow*, combining the external pretension of order with inherent internal chaos.

It is also one of six *red* photos, the photos of heart and action, which are spread across the collection, and this iconic piece also lies amongst the *special* items in the collection.
