Looking through the lens of a child at the adult world we grow into and how we can lose touch with the unfiltered imagination we are born with. Self exploration through creativity, using art therapeutically as a tool to understand the freedom of being oneself without the distortions and distractions we pick up throughout life as we blend into whatever culture we are born into. The abstract forms represent a childs perception of adult concepts. The idea of children looking out of windows into a garden of surreal, abstract forms seemed to open windows of thought regarding how we process our surroundings as children, and how that affects our development into adult life. The process of recreating a memory through imagery seems to provoke a deeper understanding of the self.
