The "rainbow" is an optical phenomenon occurring in the sky  visible in the direction away from the Sun when it shines during rain. It is a colored arc of a continuous color gradient from red, on the outside, to yellow to green and blue, to purple on the inside. 
We don't often have the opportunity to observe it! In the photo it is the original file without editing. It is almost such as my gaze to observe.
