The Global Topography Project utilises terrain elevation data to create unique artwork. The collection is semi-generative with the aim of producing interesting work that reflects the beauty of geography. Vol.1 contains 25 pieces from locations around the world. Some of these locations were chosen because they are iconic, others have a story behind them.

Its fair to say that the Grand Canyon is one of the most iconic landscapes. I was lucky that during the summer break in my first year of uni I was able to go on a road trip in the US with my flat mates. While in the group we may have been good at our degree subject its fair to say when it came to organisation, we were all inept. I would recommend visiting the Grand Canyon as its incredible I would say travel with either a tour or someone with a sense of direction. You would be surprised how lost you can get when visiting a well signposted tourist attraction.
