BURIZU is a series of original character illustrations created by NYC designer and illustrator Kervin Brisseaux.

The original Burizu series is an ongoing project that covers themes anchored in street culture, fantasy and science fiction. What started as a simple passion project has grown into a cathartic form of artistic expression. The work evolved into a rich tapestry of manga-inspired characters each with their own distinct personality. After 4+ years, the series consists of 3 Chapters comprised of over 40 unique artworks so far.

Like the chapters that came before, the Burizu Collection started as a fun exploration that organically evolved into something more. It became an opportunity to dive deeper into the lore of this eclectic cast, while also adding new faces into the mix.

Prince Azar is the estranged brother of Queen Taytu. His insatiable need for power awakened a darkness in him, leading to his exile and the loss of his humanity. He and his acolytes have become agents of chaos in an attempt to conquer our reality.
