Once spring has completed its first days and the sun is gaining more and more power, they show themselves in all their beauty: poppies.
They appear in the fields with their powerful red. Often in a wonderful contrast to the green of the other plants growing up.
Intense, that's how I feel when on a beautiful day the sun warms my skin and a poppy blossom warms my heart.
The poppy plant and its blossom have had not only an emotional but also a symbolic meaning for us humans for a long time. 
Whether as an ancient symbol of the god of dreams Morpheus or more recently as "Remembrance Poppies" as a symbol of remembrance.
Every year the poppies fascinate me anew and each year I try to capture their beauty and power in images.
