Logic and reason have been what separates man from beast since the early days of our species.

We have thought our way out of every situation, learned and stored new data, solved complex puzzles and equations, and become the triumphant inhabitant of our world. Our supercomputer brains are great at thinking! (for most people)

However, Logic by itself is only part of the story. We also have an internal instinct, a conscience and, most importantly, an array of emotional guidance systems.

There are things in life we cant quantify, and to rely on logic alone to understand these leaves a gaping hole in our consciousness. Logic is only a chain of thoughts, opinions and facts, as many call them.

Facts can vary however, depending on the perspective.

An over-reliance on logical thought can hinder a person in life: being unable to believe in a thing that cant be seen or measured can limit your view, and can close your mind to truths beyond our sight.

Blocking out our other tools like emotions, or putting logic above our instincts can be detrimental to our success, our well-being, (our survival) and how we feel.

Not only that, but logic can be a double edged sword; letting it run unchecked can become negative; worrying about circumstances that havent come to pass and overthinking every situation can result in depression, anxiety and constant fear.

This Ring is a Totem to remind us that logic is powerful, but only a tool; one of many that we have at our disposal. Allowing and understanding all of our tools and how they work, then using them to be the best version of yourselfthat is Wisdom.
