The Light

The scary thing about spiralling is that one never knows exactly when theyll hit the ground. They seem to be falling helplessly and endlessly into their personal abyss, and their prolonged belief and existence in it only makes it more infinite. 

On the other hand, a mercy that comes with spiralling is that while one is engrossed in their fear and despair, they do not realise the moment of impact until it has long passed. 

And so, for the first time in what seemed like eons, after episodes of self-(doubt, delusion and loathing), an existential crisis and a violent internal struggle, and a decent into a miserable void which seemed to follow a lost battle eyes are opened. 
Now, in a glimmering reality that is no longer skewed, lessons have been learned, faults have been acknowledged, accountability has been taken, and most importantly, forgiveness has been given. 

Certainly, surviving the impact means rising off the floor, and after that all thats left to do is
follow the light.
