I got seperated during the storm, couldn't see a thing. I knew if I stopped, I died. My eBrace still worked enough to tell me which way North was, so that's what I did. Just kept walking in that one direction. I walked through the chill in my feet, the pins and needles, then the throbbing and aching. I was happy when they were just numb. There were momments of intense, sharp agony, but I walked through it. It wasn't until I reached the relief camp and collapsed that I realized that my feet weren't even there anymore. I had walked those last kilometers on nothing more than frozen stumps.
