Card features Albert Hofmann, Swiss chemist known for being the first to synthesize, ingest, and learn of the psychedelic effects of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). His team also isolated, named and synthesized the principal psychedelic mushroom compounds psilocybin and psilocin.
