The Ethereum Improvement Pandas & Bear Market Frens is a project inspired by the Merge meme where a black bear and a white bear merge into a panda bear.

Not only are pandas a fun symbol for the Merge, but bears in general are also a great way to honor the eco-friendly nature of Ethereum as we switch to Proof of Stake, since much of their habitat has been destroyed.

The EIPandas launched shortly after the merge, and was the first PFP collection to fully mint out on proof of stake ethereum. The panda emoji became the symbol for the merge, based on the meme where a black bear and polar bear merge together. These pandas (and other bears) wear shirts to honor many of the hilarious memes Ethereum supporters have come to know and love.
