Developer Tray is composed of a series of portrait photographs of Marlene, a young teenager I met occasionally to capture some photographs the way she wanted to see herself.

These video portraits, swaying gently through water, look almost as though they are dancing and emerging from the darkness. The shifting forms of the faces interrupt the black backdrop, and become the focal point of this video painted developer trays.

The series encourages the viewer to slow down and cultivate a meditative practice of close looking to the passing of time, to the subtle energy that flows all around the developer tray  remembering the simplicity of form and motion.

A man in the museum looks at the works"?

The story about it:

As the man walked through the museum, his eyes were drawn to the various paintings and sculptures that surrounded him. 
He found himself lost in thought, contemplating the meaning and significance behind each work of art.

He moved from piece to piece, examining them from different angles and taking in every detail.  
The title of the painting, "The Art of Contemplation", was a perfect description of the man"s experience.

He was not simply looking at the art, but reflecting on it, considering how it made him feel and what it meant to him. 
As he moved through the museum, he became more and more absorbed in the world of art, his mind fully engaged in the experience.

Finally, as he reached the end of the exhibit, he paused and looked back at all of the paintings he had just seen. 
He realized that he had been on a journey of self-discovery, and that the art had given him a new perspective on life.

The man left the museum feeling enlightened and inspired, with a new appreciation for the power of art to shape our world and our understanding of it.

The Last Judgment

This work peels back the layers between worlds, exploring the concept of how we transition from this world to the next. In addition to painters like Caravaggio and Michelangelo, another influence was The Last Judgment from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, which depicts the weighing of a heart against a feather to decide ones fate in the afterlife. The sum total of the good and bad of your life determines whether you are allowed into the afterlife or devoured by a monster.
