BROADSIDE Phase 1: Episodes

The rebel Broadsiders mask up and launch an attack on a Prota. As the city descends into chaos, our hero starts to understand Zero"s vision: No leader, no center, just results. Jason makes a bad call, forcing the Broadsiders into a corner, driving a new wedge between himself and our hero. 
Meanwhile at Prota, new tension arise in the aftermath of the attack. Old bonds crack, and new ones are formed. Both Prota and the Broadsiders are now pitted against each other in all out war, both sides confident they are about to win.

Episodes #8+9 - Soldier / Rogue

The hack spreads. People illegally print and grow all manner of things, breaking free of Protacorp"s central grid. Sam is livid. Jane doesn"t agree with the decision to send Rook and his team after the Broadsiders. But Sam isn"t listening. His entire company is under threat. He cracks down harder.

Zero and the Broadsiders use the hack to 3D print EMP weapons capable of taking out Protacorp"s Marshal security force as they prepare to retaliate. Zero makes a speech in South City to the ever-growing crowd of protestors, injured Broadsiders and others who want to overthrow Protacorp. Our hero works with Zero to set up a pirate radio network in the hills above San Francisco. Zero urges our hero to lead the others, in a decentralized way - by empowering them.

Above the city, Rook establishes a digital surveillance network from a hexacopter security ship. There hasn"t been much chatter, but he knows something is coming.

BROADSIDE EPISODES #6+7 - Dissident/Pirate

Zero and his crew escort the injured Broadsiders to the safety of their hideout in the slums of South City. Our hero is left numb with shock after the attack on the Broadside game. 

All our hero wants now is revenge, but the only way they can get to Prota is by teaming up with Zero and the resistance. Zero wants to replace Protas rule with a democratic, decentralized power structure. Our hero only understands how to rely on themselves. They have much to learn from Zero, as he does from them. Together they modify the Broadside hack and release it onto the streets.

Broadside: NFT First Edition

2037 America is a solarpunk utopia, but terms and conditions apply.
On the surface, this is a world of abundance. Many of humanity"s current problems have been solved. Climate change is under control, and people have access to all kinds of renewable resources. Products, energy and food can be printed, generated or grown in an instant - just as long as you can afford to buy the copy-protected versions from Prota, a company that controls much of the nation"s resources, not to mention the force of robot security Marshals that patrol the streets, checking nothing is printed illegally.
Like many Americans, the main problem for our hero and their family is rampant inequality. An ever-smaller circle of elites get richer, while working people struggle to pay for the renewable resources they could theoretically get for almost nothing, if a handful of companies didn"t block access to them.
All this changes when our teenage hero hacks Broadside, their favorite AR game, and unwittingly breaks the copy protection not just on the game, but on everything Prota controls. Suddenly anything can be illegally printed, from EMP blasters to vehicles to solar panels, and all hell breaks loose. Prota strikes back, desperate to contain the hack. Our hero is left with no choice but to escape with the only people willing to protect them - the shadowy resistance movement that wants to overthrow Prota.
