Summer

Who are Beachcrimes? Were a duo from LA and we spent the last year making songs in hotel rooms around the world. Beachcrimes is the soundtrack to that adventure.
 
We made a lot of songs, and were excited to share them. All of them. This year were releasing 24 songs in 48 weeks. If were being real, its actually two albums  theres AM and theres PM. AM is the lite stuff, PM is the nite stuff. Think of it like the Summer Olympics and Winter Olympics, but for dance music.

"Summer" is our 9th release this year, paying homage to the dance music legend Calvin Harris and his hit song that has soundtracked our summers for a decade. We thought it needed a true PM version. Deep melodic techno? Dont mind if we do.

Next single will be out 2 weeks from today, and the following single 2 weeks after that.

Pauline Herr - Nirvana #221

Babydoll

Uffie is the project of the globe-trotting artist and fashion icon Anna-Catherine Hartley, formerly signed to Ed Banger Records, where she became acquainted with legendary producers of the early 2000s French electronic music scene. Her career spanned many successes including her first viral hit song called Pop The Glock, which was originally posted on MySpace and launched her fame in the Bloghouse era of dance music. She collaborated with the French electronic duo Justice on TThhEe PPaARRtTYY, which appeared on their Grammy nominated album Cross in 2007. Her debut album, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans, was nominated at the French Victoires de la Musique for Best Electronic Album in 2010. She has since collaborated with Pharrell Williams, Charli XCX, Galantis, and Mr. Oizo, to name a few. 

Uffie returned in 2018 with her debut single Drugs from her EP Tokyo Love Hotel. A muse to the art world, she collaborated with Jam Sutton in 2019 on a marble statue and A.I. experience, accompanied by her track Ego. She is currently writing for other artists, with credits including Pink, Khalid, Greyson Chance, Blu DeTiger, VINCINT, and Tegan & Sara. Her sophomore full-length, Sunshine Factory, was executive produced by Toro y Moi and released last spring on his label Company Records. You can hear her writing and vocals featured on The Blessed Madonnas comeback single this past November titled Serotonin Moonbeams.  

For Uffies first official NFT drop, she chose to bring one of her favorite unreleased songs to life. Babydoll was created with longtime collaborators Lokoy and Veronika Jane Wyman (of DAGR). What began as a poem on a calm quiet morning, ended as a ketamine-inspired freestyle. Enjoy the ride.

But with this project I want to remind you that change has its own timeline, and that you should keep believing in your own breakthrough  

This collection is made up of my first two songs, and I want you to have a piece of them of me. First up was "BROKEN," and now comes FOOL

I wrote this song about my first heartbreak, but I know weve all felt the pain of being replaced and questioning where things went wrong. So this one is for all of us!

Hold Me

Hold me is about the complexity of emerging yourself in something that can be bad for you whether that is music, love, social media. Its the feeling of wanting to hold on even when something could hurt you .. and that in doing so it makes it even more desirable. 

I like to put my life in my music to make it me, being myself is the one thing I can count on to make me different.. and in doing so I hope we connect through my music.

I don"t know where this will take me or what will influence me next and that"s exciting... Music as an experience should be fluid and lead you down new paths. I don"t want to fit in a box.

"All Good Boys Go to..."

"All good boys get what they deserve," or so they say. But what happens when a good boy goes bad?  
He discards his former self and embraces a dangerous and provocative persona. Over time, the person he once was becomes a distant memory as his mind and body become fully absorbed by a malevolent force.

As he spirals further into darkness, those around him begin to notice a change in him. His once bright eyes are now clouded with a sinister gleam and his warm smile has been twisted into a cruel smirk. People whisper behind his back, but he doesn"t care, he is too far gone.

One day, he stands before a mirror and barely recognizes himself. Consumed by anger and pain, he is now just a shell of the person he used to be. It is then that he first hears whispers in his head, a voice that is not his own.

The whispers grow louder over time until they become a constant presence in his thoughts. They urge him to do bad things, promising power and revenge, and he finds himself powerless to resist.  
The voice is not his own, but that of a demon that has possessed him. The demon has used his pain and anger as a means of taking control of his body, using him as a vessel.

The protagonist is horrified as he realizes the truth, but it is too late. He is no longer in control of himself and the demon"s grip on him is too strong. All he can do is watch as the demon wreaks havoc, not caring who is hurt or what is destroyed in its wake.
