Obvious Research - Launch

Obvious Research presents its genesis artwork, "Renaissance". Crafted by the artist trio Obvious, this digital work serves as a testament to the creation of their research laboratory on Generative AI.

This artwork is composed of a 3D scan of a sculpture which can be seen inside the Sorbonne University in Paris. This digital representation creates a bridge between Obvious and the Sorbonne University, embodying their will to work together on harnessing the power of science for art. The digital statue wears a texture created using text to image and image to video algorithms. The textures are inspired from the most glaring examples of the impact of science on visual art: the golden ratio, tessellations, mobius strips...

In addition to marking the birth of Obvious Research, this artwork also embodies its vision: to explore the uncharted territories at the intersection of technology and creativity, and to channel these discoveries into artistic expressions.

Remix of Remixes #4 - Omnibus, by Hackatao, is the evidence that harmony results from different chaos, that beauty is beauty from multiple perspectives, and that many truths manifesting through diverse eyes can, however, still be called the truth. 

This is a snapshot of the fourth remix of remixes, that crystallizes the look of the dynamic token in this precise moment until the next change, or maybe forever. 

A total of 43 artists participated in the REMIX ME art project and are now (re)mixed together, each contributing to the final unique creation by Hackatao with the music by MaterManto.

A confirmation of what we stated at the beginning of this adventure, of what Web3 is about, art, community, today, more than ever: 
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts."

This generative algorithm explores the geometric theme of non-intersecting line segments. In short: no two lines in this design are allowed to cross each other. By incorporating various boundaries and shapes, constraining line angles, adjusting line density and applying several other techniques, a wide range of intricate compositions is produced.

The inability to truly connect can be interpreted as a metaphor for modern day life where we are flooded with digital means of communication but often struggle or fail to connect on a deeper, interpersonal level. This project thus reflects on the paradoxical nature of our increasingly interconnected yet isolated existence.

Using the keys numbered 1 to 4, you can export high-resolution files in sizes from A1 to A4 for printing at 300 dpi.  Please be patient while the exports render. The success of the export may depend on your hardware configuration. If larger sizes fail to render, try exporting smaller sizes.

Ana Mara Caballero invited fifty different people to read and annotate the same poem, performing their experience of its verse via hand-written marginalia.\

Fifty Ways of Looking at a Poem celebrates the ways in which writers and readers construct each other. Readers give literature life within their minds, honoring words when they make them their own by leaving a mark.\
\
The combined, iterative interventions in this series represent the collective evolution of readership.\
\
Language is universalyet personaland every reading pulls and pushes it forth.\
\
The top ten bidders will receive a print of the poem, signed by Caballero, so that they may annotate it themselves and become contributors to this project.
