This song originated in Nashville, TN when Max (yadzi) was visiting from LA and staying at my house for the weekend! (one could say that's where the inspo for the words 'guest + house' came from, but it was actually directly inspired by the poem 'Guest House' by Rumi)

'Guest House' is about learning how to live with, and furthermore, welcome in, your emotions. Feelings aren't necessarily a new topic for me, as I often speak on mental health in my music, but the exploring & recreating of the production alongside Max, was very refreshing. I met Max through Songcamp/headless CHAOS, which has truly proven to be the gift that keeps on giving.

We hope this song finds the collectors + listeners who need it, and remind them that they're not alone in their feelings. And there is always time to make friends with your emotions.. I'm still learning how to do that everyday.

I have countless demos in the vaults, and I want to share them! I've been minting pieces of my *present* creative processes, weekly, for months...but I want to clear out the archives of the past, too. Every song I've ever made has been such an important part of my creative process, and I don't want to wait for a posthumous curation of my works to reveal these important moments along my journey. Only I can tell them exactly as they happened...and I'm excited to share.

Caga Ti and his friends arrived a little late this year, but they're still excited to see you and share their adventures! 

Catalonian legend has it that when our wooden friend Ti shows up on the doorstep, if you bring him into your house and keep him warm until the holidays then all the kids get to whack him with sticks while singing until he poops out presents. The more you whack him the more presents he poops. Afterwards, you can burn him and wait patiently for his resurrection next year <3
