Still Standing

Some might see this this as just another tree, but for me this symbolises my stance in life. Still standing after all these years. Through ups and downs, storms and trials I have stood. Sometimes shaken to my roots, I have lost branches and withered at times but somehow endured the test of time.

Still Standing

A little detour to a tree I haven"t visited for a few years in my home town. It has grown a little,as had the two trees adjacent to it but importantly it was still there. The building is actually bright red but the infrared treatment has brought out some wild colours. The image name was chosen by ClickCreate.io and was unintentionally spot on as this is the School of Creative Arts in the city.  
A mix of nature and the man made.

I have driven past this tree countless times over the years but until I started shooting infrared I was never enticed enough to go and shoot it.  
Looking at this tree through the viewfinder of my full spectrum sensor camera changed my mind. The simplicity, the shape and the conversion later has put this majestic tree into my top ten.

Thriving in the shadow of Dartington Hall. I love this little tree, it might be a youngster but I"m sure it has many years of life in the grounds of this building. The shadow of the tree, the crow and the peace all inspired me to capture this scene.

Top Heavy

Full spectrum infrared is a revelation. It has rejuvenated my photographic passion. This solitary tree is close to home and one I have driven past countless times. Shooting it in infrared has given it a whole new perspective.  
I love trees, always have. It was a solitary tree that kicked off my photographic career back in the early nineties. I feel like this image has brought me full circle back to where I should be.

To create this image many factors had to coincide - a low tide, good weather and the positioning of the galactic centre. I can't remember the exact time but I know it was between 12pm and 2am when this was taken. It was one of those moments I will never forget, shared with friends all trying to avoid tidal pools and slippery rocks. St Michaels Mount in Cornwall, UK.

Resilience Unveiled 

11/9/23: This painful wake-up call became my impetus to break free from the confines of a 10 hr office day & rediscover my passion for creating art.

This C-spine MRI becomes a symbol of triumph and transition, marking a major milestone in my Web3 journey. 
The uncertainty surrounding my future, adds an intriguing layer, reflecting the unpredictable nature of life and creation. In 2012, Hurricane Sandy destroyed 100+ physical pieces & broke me. Nothing will stop me from creating new art again.

The Puffins of Iceland

In the land of ice and fire, where the hot springs bubble and the glaciers crash, there lives a bird that is both brave and ridiculous. 

It is the puffin, a creature with a big beak and a silly walk.

But don"t let the puffin"s appearance fool you. 
These birds are survivors. 
They travel thousands of miles every year to find food, and they build their nests on the most dangerous cliffs.  
Although they do not technically mate for life, puffins will come back to mate and raise a chick with the same puffin for years. 

So next time you see a puffin, don"t just laugh. 
Be inspired by its courage and capacity to love the same puffin partner for years. 

The puffins of Iceland are a reminder that we can all find courage in our own way. 
We don"t have to be perfect or glamorous. 
We just have to be ourselves and choose love.

So go out there and be brave.
