Greetings Nature

We"ve all heard the phrase "Red sky at night, sailor"s delight.  Red sky in morning, sailors take warning."...  But have you ever really thought about it?  
  
How could one simple adage, with a couple of binary statements, be true everywhere at all times?  I"d imagine the saying started in England or Europe or the Mediterranean, but does it hold true around the coasts of Africa or Australia?  What about Cape Horn, home of some of the worst maritime weather on the planet?  And do the sun"s light"s refracting rays and cloud colors really predict inclement weather in Maine, or the Gulf Coast, or, say, the Pacific Northwest?  
  
These are some of the questions I didn"t ponder while I stood there on Second Beach, barefoot with a tripod, taking in one of the finest sunsets of my life.  Sometimes, you just need to revel in the after glow.

In my mind, "The Beginning" artwork symbolizes a fresh start. Many of us may wish we could go back and restart or change certain parts of our lives, but that is not possible. Instead, we can choose to leave the past behind and start anew with a clear, dedicated mindset. That"s why I chose to depict this idea through the use of the color white, representing a clean slate, and black, representing the old, chaotic mindset. The artwork is part of my Genesis collection.
