The narrative of Project Shojira was inspired by traditional Japanese folklore and concepts from universally recognised anime titles. The story of Project Shojira revolves around the concept of a powerful curse being broken from its seal. Once the Shojira's curse has become awakened, it will imbue the holder with an extremely powerful dark energy. However in return, the holder will then seek total destruction and pure chaos into the world.
