The Foofees origins collection is the new home of the Foofees. Originally launched in October 2021, this project consists of 111 digitally hand drawn 1/1 pfps by artist Aoife O'Dwyer.

The Foofees are imperceivable beings that live in the gaps of human perception.Their core elements are built from essential matter that links them to one of 5 essential elements  space, fire, air, water or earth.

They all hold power at various levels from Foundling (94), Guardian (10), Elemental (4), Catalyst (2) and The Supreme (1).

The Foofees

Guardians are most uncommon and serve the Foofee community as revered mentors and guides. They are teachers and carers and connectors with deep knowledge in their given element. Some Guardians go on to become Elementals gaining full mastery over their element and some more become beloved community builders and storytellers.

Fire Guardians have the task of helping Foofees learn how to connect to and harness the power of the sun and stars, the fiery depths of the earths core, the vastness of the deserts and the resilience of the precious life that grows there. Many fire Foofees go on to become fiercely passionate leaders that champion causes with great conviction. Full of fun and mischief, they are some of the most warm and outgoing mentors amongst all Guardians.

Space is the most powerful element as it contains all the other elements. These Foofees form deep connections with all living forms and are often seen as wise and knowing. They balance the best (and sometimes worst) qualities of all the elements and so are profoundly influential. They see the bigger picture and are known for making sure every perspective is heard.

Because of their potential power they are the only Foofees that undergo training in order to fully balance all the elemental power within them.

Fire connects to the sun and all the stars and have warm, welcoming personalities infused with passionate and fierce convictions. Often seen as inspiring leaders that champion causes and by far the most fun and mischievous of the species. The early humans wrote of them as fun loving frolicking nymphs and are some of the most outgoing of all Foofees.

Growth, interconnectedness, expanded life and renewal are central to how earth Foofees operate. These Foofs are innovators and creators. Some of the first to connect and innovate with the mycelium networks and forests of the planet Earth and the first to make contact with humans. More accurately their element is Matter as they are influenced by the core physical particles that build all things. In this world they named themselves after the dominant understanding of our planets base terrain.

Weaving meandering flexibility beside forceful strength water Foofees are some of the most nuanced of all. Holding within them tidal power alongside the stillest calm. They can combine deep feeling with deliberate forward action. Known for forming strong friendship bonds and often show a nurturing, caring nature.

Often leading navigational, exploratory and free spirited endeavours  they are also wonderful communicators. From a whisper to a roar they were the earliest to develop the telepathic communication method now inherent amongst all Foofees.

Catalysts happen through the spontaneous transformation of a Foundling. Only two Foundlings in a generation will transform into a power amplifying Catalyst so they are extremely rare and elusive.

Its not fully understood what exactly triggers a Catalyst to evolve but it has been seen to occur in times of great collective celebration or struggle. They amplify not only their core element but that of matching elements around them. Often found with light or dark auras depending on what needs to be balanced when they transform.

The second Catalyst to emerge in this generation is an all powerful earth element. Only those with the strongest will and visionary mindset can host a Catalyst.
