When Chloe first sent me this track it was perfect. It needed nothing. But we happened to have The Park at my studio and thus the beautiful thing we now hear was born. Derek sprinkled some Holly + and voila.  Josh with the Bass, Ben on the synths. if you would've told me a year ago that i'd be where i am today, i promise i wouldn't believe you. i'm writing this from my hotel room in new orleans, preparing for my presentation at ESSENCE Fest on Saturday, July 2, 2022. not only am i being honored for my music, but for my knowledge and work in Web3 as well. it feels good to be seen. it feels good to watch all things come together on time for me. finally.

to celebrate and commemorate this huge moment for me at ESSENCE Fest, i can't think of any song better than "All On Time" to mint. this song is about perseverance in the midst of uncertainty, and i believe that that is the very mindset that got me where i am today.

this NFT is being placed in an ESSENCE Fest gallery yo!! like what!!? idk about you, but i think that's pretty f*cking cool. shout out to ESSENCE for seeing the vision and shining light on music NFTs so that our community can understand this space better. and shoutout to anyone who resonates with this song deep enough to collect it.

Sound of Fractures - 1st Year Anniversary

A year since my first mint and what a year its been. 

As musicians we find it so hard to stop and take in what we've achieved, we feel constantly exhausted but never look back at the why, as we are always focussed on what next... so for the 1 year anniversary of my first mint Ive put together a timeline of all my releases on chain... its crazy to look at it laid out this way, and honestly I'm really proud. I've done it my way and for the right reasons, and if you stick to that ethos then regardless of what metrics others judge success by, you can always look back and be happy with your work.

This year has totally changed my experience of being a musician, and although we still work crazy hard, what Ive got back while experimenting with web3 tools has been so much more rewarding for me.
