Crypto Beings

"Crypto Beings" is an animated time-based work of art, which grows over time. Each being grows and develops in a period of about two months (starting from October 5th), so you can check your minted token daily and see the creature"s growth. After this period, your token will begin to change color slowly and forever to maintain its temporal properties. This algorithm was developed by studying and being inspired by the behavior of many works in the blockchain, so that it feels familiar to everyone. To activate the interactive mode, just simply click on your artwork. CONTROLS: Click and drag mouse for rotating - Use arrow keys to change the position - Press "i" to Crumple - Adjust the color of the beings by dragging the mouse (only in rainbow variations) - Press "d" to decrease thickness -  Press "f" to increase thickness - Press "t" to see your original beings without growth - Press "r" to reset the animation - Press "s" to save the current frame.

Exploring the concepts of chaos, fungibility and the fractal nature of abstract paint layers dragged onto canvas, a scale is an individual artwork, wholly unique, yet an equal microcosm of a greater work. 

Every scale is a 1 of 1 and exists as both partial, and full ownership of a complete artwork. Created by subdividing large canvasses into individual parcels, scales democratize ownership of Annas work across many collectors. 

With a new drop of 500-1000 pieces scheduled for release every month, a total of 10,000 scales will be minted. 

Each Scale is 4600x4600 px.

Most of us protect ourselves by wearing a mask (some do so more strongly than others), but the eyes of a person barely ever deceive. It Was Always The Eyes, strips away that mask and focuses fully on just the eyes. Even in a deceptively simple art piece, the result is quite powerful. Quase

"Quase" blurs the line between human and machine in a mesmerizing code-based art piece. Using particles, the code transforms simple shapes into intricate, almost "organic" forms. The result is a dynamic artwork that sparks contemplation on the harmonious collaboration between human creativity and the machine"s execution. It highlights the similarities between humans and machines-both capable of choices, adaptation, and information processing, though in different ways. The abstract nature of "Quase" invites subjective interpretation, allowing viewers to engage with the artwork on a personal level.

We Vielen Met De Sterren

We Vielen Met De Sterren is my next exploration in audiovisual generative work. In a lot of ways it"s a continuation of techniques used in my previous art collection (Dis)connected, but centered around an entire new topic. Writing has always been an integral part of my life, We Vielen met De Sterren is a combination of my two main forms of artistic expression (writing and generative art). The work is inspired and crafter around a poem I wrote roughly six years ago. Both the visual and auditory work is entirely long form and generatively created using vanilla JavaScript (no external libraries were used). The passing of time is a consistent theme throughout the work. The piano melody and accompanying animation change each day, you will also witness the starting darkness of your piece being dependent on the time you"re looking at the piece. With a little bit of encoding magic with help from Piter Pasma, a highly compressed recording of the poem is hidden in the work and can be accessed by pressing "t" (or adding poem=true on mobile). You can press "s" to access spotlight mode. If you would like to create a video recording of the work, you can do so by pressing "r" twice to start / stop, once you"ve started the animation.

The Maze

The Maze is a battle that we all fight on a daily basis. Is the journey to find ourselves, to find purpose, to understand who we are in this world. This journey takes us through unexplored paths, makes us turn on our backs when we are blocked and we do not know how to continue, and forces us to go ways we would have never imagined. Some people seek to find the center of the maze and some others simply want a way out of it.

This generative art project depicts this journey through "The Maze" utilising Cubism style. In Cubism, artists such as Picasso or Braque, would paint objects or scenes from multiple perspectives, breaking them up and reassebling them in a flat canvas with a greater context. in this case, "The Maze" is represented with up to 4 different perspectives creating a sense of abstraction and evoking the same feeling of distress we all feel when trapped inside a maze.
