In this short film created by Zora we explore the world of Night Run, created by Matto and the team at Thousand Ant. Night Run is a conceptual art project which includes a motorcycle video game, an NFT project about imaginary AI powered fashion houses and a series of videos documenting the creation process.

The Night Run NFTs will interact with the game by allowing collectors to make aesthetic choices which affect the experience of all players. This brings part of the audience into a collaborative role of helping to curate the virtual space of the piece. The elements collectors will be able to change will include the music which plays on that route, which collections of artworks are randomized across the billboards of the city and certain color choices in the environment. The choices collectors make are saved and replicated across everyone who plays the game.

From birth, we find ourselves chasing acceptance. We yearn for affirmation from those around us. The dopamine hit we get from the feeling of acknowledgment is more powerful than we"d like to admit. Deep down, we all crave validation. 

"Validation" was inspired by the thought provoking work of Jack Butcher. His "Checks" sparked a broader conversation and I felt compelled to dive deeper into our desire to feel seen - and who we allow to control that feeling.
