On Nov 7th, 2020, I was invited to talk on a panel with esteemed guests @m1guelpf, @StaniKulechov & @0xKofi.

It was NFTLDN ran by some amazing people, some of which evolved into the awesome @WeAreNFTUK

The subject: The Future of Web3

At that moment, my life changed forever.

During that talk, I learned so much, but also felt I had a little to give.

I tried to raise a bit of that passion deep within to talk of our future:

- Of the power to do good.  
- Of being excited AND afraid.  
- Of building a better world.

And I think it worked.

It was life changing.

I knew I was onto something, and I knew there was no going back.

Posting the video online its on 21k views and still going, and I hope it has helped a few people along the way.

A still from a lensing of The Tapestry in Mange Bureh, Sierra Leone. On a quest to find, document, and preserve old song in Sierra Leone, this was the first time Id take note of a pattern I saw unfold throughout my experience with the project. 
As the sun rose, I asked the women who were already singing if they had any songs that had been in the village for generations. There was a pause as the younger women looked to their elders for guidance. 
They huddled around some of the elders in the tribe who in that moment began to sing and instruct the others on how to sing an old song. 
It was a beautiful moment, and moving forward I made note of all the instances where old songs werent as known by the younger generations. I was affirmed at that moment that documentation itself plays a role in preservation. And although the tools I may use may differ from my ancestors, the goal is the same. Keeping the chain of narration alive.
