2020 was a unique year in my career as a street photographer. After six months of strict curfews and stern Covid measures as well as vandalism and destruction caused by civil unrest, New York City turned into a desolate shell of its former self. The once bustling metropolis started to look and feel like scenes from a post-apocalyptic movie. As I wandered through the empty streets, normalcy began to slip away. Over time, things slowly improved but it wasnt until a cold and snowy night in December that the city felt alive again.

This photograph represents a city reborn and is a personal reminder of my experiences during darker times. Wandering the empty streets I no longer recognized while trying to remember what how things once were.

"Diary" by Vinnie Hager is a look into Vinnie Hagers artistic exploration over the course of the last decade. The development of his unique visual language begins with 100 archived physical drawings that established themselves as the backbone of this collection. These 100 drawings were split into 12 visual categories then paired with a varying library of color palettes. This collection is a generative open edition available for 24 hours. All artworks minted are unique and will have a physical counterpart claimable at a later date.

I"m a French professional photographer living in the Westfjords of Iceland, the most remote region of the country. During the last 10 years, I"ve been involved in scientific studies conducted by the Nature institute of Iceland and have extensively documented the harsh life of the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) in Iceland.  

"Surviving" is a portrait of a blue morph Arctic fox taken in July 2021. The strength of the fox"s gaze emphasizes the animal"s determination and the resilience needed to survive in such a harsh environment. 

All proceeds of this open edition will be added to the fund I created to publish a book about Arctic foxes and help spreading awareness about their conservation.

We go through many seasons during our lives. They can be defined on the calendar, stages of life in development, career growth, and personal growth. This typography work I did years ago represents Life and a favorite quote of mine: There is no normal life, theres just life. We each face our own challenges and seasons we go through. It is just part of life. We all deal with things differently, and how we handle these things and the outlook we chose affects us.

When was the last time that you stood under the rain and felt the gentle touch of a raindrop crashing against your skin?

When was the last time that you stopped for a few seconds to just look at life pass and take it all in?

The beauty of life relies on those small things that we can easily forget to see due to the fast pace of life, and thats why my art was born, to give you a space to stop, breathe, and enjoy the fleeting gesture of life in a state of perpetual meditation through the soothing spirit of the Japanese daily life with a cinematic touch...

According to the Prose Edda, a 13th century Icelandic manuscript, two ethereal swans glide gracefully upon a mirrored surface, drawing sustenance from the waters. These swans are symbols of the enduring dance between destiny and time. Each ripple they create is a whisper of the past, a hint of the future, and a testament to the flow of existence.
