Witness to the chaos of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, this 2003 oil painting emerged as a resilient survivor. Over 100 artworks were lost, causing a creative hiatus that lasted over a decade.

This sole surviving oil painting, encapsulates emotions then and now. It signifies my return, a testament to resilience. Each stroke whispers vulnerability, strength, and the art of overcoming. This self-portrait is not just a painting; it"s my rebirth.

Perils stars three new creatures and a child protagonist inspired by new lore. The series pays homage to the aesthetics and structure of storybooks and analog animation techniques, revealing the artists refreshing take on the generative art scene.

Perils is made up of three chapters and each page represents a singular idiosyncratic timeline, granting the viewer the ability to collect and curate their own path in this sprawling and mystical tale.

Each artwork is a standalone painting and has three different blooms of borders that are revealed only in time.

I employed this upscaling method that I developed, utilizing both AI and GAN to breathe new life into the artwork. After the upscaling process, I dedicated numerous hours to meticulously hand-paint intricate details myself.

Artists Notes: This work is the first in a progressive 3-piece series that depicts a spiritual traveler embracing their path of life through the cosmos. The first scene show the figure, made of star dust, traveling through the options of life represented by different frames. They settle on a specific nebula, and Unify with it.
