Reo Cragun

I wrote, produced, and engineered this song at my home studio in Las Vegas. Often times I finish songs quickly, but "Monday - Friday" is an outlier that took months. I pushed myself creatively on this song, and I think that's why I've grown so attached to it.

The intro begins with drowsy chords and an entrancing four on the floor kick pattern. Before things become stale the beat quickly transforms into hard hitting halftime drums with glitched music to kick off a verse. Bouncing back and forth between grooves isn't very common, and in my opinion it's what makes this song stand out. I lyrically start describing what my week was looking like - Uber drivers mistaking me for drug dealing because I have cash from rap... My ex ringing me about nothing while I'm in the middle of something important... Rolling 3 SUVs deep full of friends so it looks like we're in a black car convoy... 

I play Mon - Fri" when I want to get in the zone. I had to sacrifice a lot to get to where I'm at, and this song is a testament that I shouldn't be afraid to remind people of the mountains I've climbed to get here.

We are the Bored Brothers. A fully animated NFT-based recording artist project developed and executive produced by Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) and KYGO. As avid NFT / Web3 enthusiasts, we conceived the idea of auditioning some of our Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) apes to form an animated, multi-genre duo based primarily in dance and hip-hop. This project stems from an overwhelming desire to curate and create music outside our respective genres. Were flirting with everything from deep house to Miami bass and deeper dance genres like Phonk.

The Bored Brothers are musically unlike any other DJ/artist project. With the actual Bored Ape NFTs themselves as the artists -  the world we live in is unlimited, both visually and dimensionally. We live and work in the real world and in real venues as easily as the metaverse itself. There will be collaborations, there will be experimentations, and there are no rules. We care about having a good time, always bringing the party, and seeing the world while in the process. 

Our lead single, DRIP, helps set the wave but is just one piece of the Bored Brothers puzzle. All shall soon be revealed.

Hiii, we are KarmaVioletta! We"re a traveling music duo couple, involved in the Web3, creator & wellness spaces. We believe in a world where a kid can tell their parents, "I want to be a musician, artist or creator," & there"s a viable path to that. We were formed in 2019 in Miami, after we fell in love and started creating in our home studio. We feel that we are all in this human experience together, so let"s dance :)

Karma, born in Vancouver, raised in Hawaii & Miami, comes from a musical family, having learned to play the drums at age 3, followed by guitar, singing & piano. In 2012, he first discovered Ableton and that took him down the rabbit hole, which he re-surfaced from as a producer, singer/ songwriter, sound engineer & DJ.     Violetta (Vee-oh-letta), born in Germany, raised in Russia & America, learned to play the piano & guitar at a young age. Shes been singing her whole life & started songwriting in 2017, which also led her into co-producing & DJing.

This is our very first drop on Sound.xyz from our duo project. We got into Web3 via Karma.wav red-pilling Violetta at NFT NYC last year, Nov 2021. During that trip, we met up with the Songcamp fam IRL & had our first studio session together. We are now both a part of their most recent camp of 77 members, Camp Chaos, the headless band. Right around that same time we started wavWRLD, through which we are building infrastructure to enable unique musical experiences that connect artists with their true fans.

We wrote this song in the beginning of our relationship, about 3 years ago. It encompasses those moments of butterflies & excitement, but slight fear at the same time, when you realize that youve already fallen so deeply for this person, your person. So Deep also represents gratitude for all that has come beforehand, including past relationships, as they were filled with hard lessons that prepared you & got you to where you are now, with who you are now. They got you to a much better place. Only you know whats best for you, so trust yourself & remember to do you & love YOU first, then everything else will fall into place.
