DWARFISM AWARENESS MONTH 2023

We, KGKH Art, are so estatic to be in a collaboration with Rainbow Mosho for this year"s art! 

Rainbow Mosho is a teen artist/author on the autism spectrum. She has published (written, co written and illustrated) 5 books in 23 months.  She launched her art on bikes - commissioned by Nashville BCycle - program with Nashville Public Library. Rainbow is a Dreamer - member of NFTY Dreams DAO - DaVinci Grant winner - Kids Voices Gran Chaco project.
Her art has been exhibited in Dubai, Beijing, NYC, LA, Miami, Tennessee.  She"s a winner of #NFTsforgood contest - hosted by Flower Girls NFT project

"Most of you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness and Halloween. Did you know that October is Dwarfism Awareness month? Not many people know much about Dwarfism and might ask What is Dwarfism? or even Whats a dwarf? All those questions will be answered.
Now theres over 450 types of Dwarfism, but the most common one is Achondroplasia, simply because it can happen when a gene is missing from one of the parents. Now in order to be a dwarf/have dwarfism, youd need to have a genetic mutation. There is a word that little people, or LPs for short, dont like which is the m word or simply just midget, simply because of it being rude and offensive. 
In 1957 the organization of LPA, Little People of America, was founded and since the organization was trying to find a month to have to be acknowledged, they chose October which happened to be the birth month of Billy Barty, the founder of the LPA organization.

Swift

Being unapologetically expressive within my femininity & sensuality is a state that was alien to me. I always felt like a shell of myself, shrinking to appease the appetites & judgments of others. Finding my voice through music has encouraged me to release censorship of self. 

Swift is one of the first songs I wrote after years of suppressing expression. It was also the first music video that I directed, choreographed, & produced with my company, Forbidden Fruit, on July 31, 2021.
 
Swift is an embodiment of sexualitys pure nature, linking us from our inner children to our primal instincts & base desires. Swift is a reclamation of Play. Passion. & Pleasure... & it is my hope that this piece inspires others to find liberation deep within.

Waves of Hope and Grief

The "Waves of Hope & Grief" NFT is an open edition work created by Lianna Adams as a follow-up to her 2022 piece "Phoenix Rising." That work was a response to the artist"s experience as a caregiver for both her husband and mother, both of whom had cancer and was released on World Cancer Day 2022 in honor of her late husband and to inspire her mother"s fight against lung cancer. 

The collection also serves as a reminder to caregivers to never give up. The dragon in the work represents her late husband, while the phoenix represents her mother and the caregiver in the work, depicted in purple, represents the artist herself. The image shows the caregiver looking up to the sky, remembering her loved ones who have passed and are now dancing among the stars on a full moon night. The caregiver can also be seen in the waves, which represents the waves of grief that the artist still experiences after the loss of her loved ones. 

This work was created using Procreate to convey messages of hope and survival.
