Whats a great way to have fun with friends? Scribbling!

Scribble Together is an experiment in collaborative creation. I designed a scribbling algorithm without knowing what the eventual colors will be. Ive then asked friends to create palettes using a custom palette tool.

The palettes may allow for some variety such as choosing from multiple paper colors or selecting a subsample from a set of pen colors. Additionally, palette creators were able to create more than one palette.

When a piece is minted, it is randomly assigned a palette. However, for a limited time, collectors can change the palette for their pieces. Collectors choices during this time will affect how primary sales are distributed to palette creators.

The artwork is designed to be plotted on 9"x12" paper using 0.45mm or 0.5mm pens. Whether the specific palette for a given piece allows for plotting is a choice left to the palette creator.

Methodical preparation meets unpredictable circumstances. Decision Matrix is an arrangement of cogwheels and stacks of chips, where each piece uniquely represents one of the 377 races attended by Oracle Red Bull Racing, commemorating its 20th anniversary this year. The cogwheels symbolize the meticulous engineering, strategic planning, and technical precision that form the backbone of the sport. In contrast, the stacks of chips highlight the theme of unpredictability, representing random factors such as weather changes, unforeseen technical issues, and the critical split-second decisions made by drivers that can significantly impact the races outcome. Each piece in the series invites collectors to connect with specific historical moments of triumph and challenge, celebrating two decades of racing excellence.

"Risk / Reward" is a series that reflects on the high stakes and complex dynamics of Formula 1, where the balance between calculated risk and potential reward defines the thin line between victory and defeat. Through an arrangement of chip stacks, each with random colors and patterns, the series symbolizes the diverse spectrum of potential gains and losses encountered during a race. Adding an extra layer of luck or chance, this open edition reveals unique rarities with each minting. 

The minting window is synchronized with the winning race time of the iconic Monaco F1 Grand Prix, infusing each piece with the exhilarating spirit and unpredictability of the sport.

Screens have been at the heart of art mass production and mass consumption for ages. From screen printing techniques, first developed in China around 1000AD and later popularized in western art culture by e.g. Andy Warhol, to the screens on our devices used to consume both digital art as well as most traditional art we experience in our life.

The "Screens" series is a celebration of modern art. It is inspired by the aesthetics inherent in screen printing along with the compositions and colors of both Bauhaus, Constructivism, and pulp fiction sci-fi covers.

The compositions in "Screens" is based purely on strict geometries and plays with the tension, and symphonies that can be created from combining simple rules. The end result can range from chaotic non-figurative to strongly ordered isometric scenes.

The generative system underlying the rendering mimics the screen printing process by rendering and applying a single color at a time to a master image. Each virtual screen may be more or less aligned with the master, creating a lovely flawed balance to the precision of the rendered geometry.

25% of the proceeds from this project will be donated to Den Bl Planet, The Danish National Aquarium, in support of their work on preserving and restoring marine life and ecology.

The auntiesocial chapter celebrates community and sisterhood as aunties engage in a variety of activities. They can be seen participating in fun tour groups, making quirky dramatic expressions together, dancing, partying, wading through dreamscapes, cooking and sharing meals, posing together under the full moon, and even donning mermaid tails. It pays tribute to my mother"s active lifestyle, which contrasts with her mother"s more sedentary existence.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and Cactoid Labs present Remembrance of Things Future Vol. 2: Monica Rizzolli: A Tour of Hypothetical Waterfalls, a generative code-based series created in dialogue with Katsushika Hokusai's iconic 19th c. woodblock prints, A Tour of Japanese Waterfalls in LACMA's collection. Remembrance of Things Future engages artists working on the blockchain to reimagine the museum's collection. Building on the museum's experimentations with art and tech, LACMA and Cactoid Labs invited pioneering digital artists to select objects from the museum's holdings and create new digital editions inspired by a diverse selection of artworks. Utilizing tools such as generative code, and dynamic software the artists created unique works that engage histories across various eras. Following the museum's tradition of collaborating with artists to create limited editions, a percentage of the proceeds from these new digital editions will support LACMA's Art + Tech Lab.
