Polygon1993's latest piece  explores themes of loneliness, depression, loss of loved ones, and mental fragility.
Using his signature technique of circuit-bent video synths CRT TVs and digital glitch art, Polygon1993 creates glitch art portraits of people that are made entirely of lines.
This piece is a haunting and abstract representation of his subject's emotional state. The glitchy, fragmented lines that make up each portrait are a reflection of the turmoil and confusion that comes with mental illness.
Through his use of glitch art and technology, Polygon1993 invites us to contemplate the complex emotions that we all experience at some point in our lives.
This unique and powerful depiction of the human experience serves as a testament to the resilience and strength that we can all find within ourselves in the face of adversity.
By using only lines, Polygon1993 creates a sense of depth and movement that draws the viewer in and invites them to explore the intricacies of the artwork.

OSOOTTER

The Creek at the Edge of the World

It was like this:  
One night under the fullness of the diamond-bright moon, Oso & Otter stole down to the Creek at the Edge of the World. Their teacher, old Kingfisher, had always made it clear that visits to the creek were not only dangerousthey were forbidden. This, of course, had the opposite of the intended effectOso & Otter were always dreaming of how and when they would go. What they would do there, they never thought about.  
	So the night came when old Kingfisher snored deep and the Strawberry moon was high, and they set out. It was a strange journey, but Ill save that for another tale. Eventually, they arrived.  
	The Creek was a golden thread, with a brightness not just from the moon, but all its own. Oso felt afraid, but Otter put a paw on his soft haunch, gave a little squeeze, and then leapt right into the water.  
	As you might imagine, the Creek at the Edge of the World is not like other creeks. As Otter swam, she saw beneath her the whole of life unfolding, the streams of little lives, the births and deaths of larger stars. 
	Eventually, Oso joined his friend in the bright water. Together they looked down into the universe in motion, the endless whirl of galaxies and the labyrinthine intricacies of the flower. Over it all presided the raven Death. He, too, watched, and would occasionally unfold his wings of midnight to swoop over it all.  
Do you see them, right up there in the sky? Look up and youll see Oso, Otter, and, just where the night is darkest, Raven.  
They are swimming still.

Tones echoing from beyond the horizon, the gentle hum of cicadas in the late summer afternoons, and the melodies of anime intros on lazy weekends. These familiar sounds beckoned me to revisit the place where my dreams were first born. "To the east..." whispered the wind.
