The Destination is an ode to curiosity, showcasing the variety of paths one can take and the myriad of subjects waiting to be discovered.
Each planet or star represents a domain waiting to be explored.

As passionate individuals, we often find ourselves deeply immersed in a subject, dedicating our free time to it for months or even years.

The concept of a destination is not just about reaching an end point but encompasses the entire journey towards it.
Finally, the title itself is a nod to our first collaboration, The Source.

Brava meaning strong, fierce or spicy is a project about fragility. Fragility in various domains, including code, algorithms, systems, technology, and human experiences. The project visually represents fragility by showcasing how subtle changes to the algorithm and the technology running it can significantly impact shapes and the overall composition.
The dynamics and the final image mirrors the experience of jumping into the vast open water, where the act of diving into its expanse is both a reminder of our vulnerability and exhilarating.

Tangible Pixels: Symbolic Fruit

We often think of digital art as this ethereal thing, 

code and pixels floating around 

with no grounding in the real world. 

But the more I work with this medium, 

the more I find a surprising tangibility in my pixels

and in the act of coding itself.

Watching a DVD logo bounce around a tv, our inclination is to predict where it will go. There is a well-defined process of particle and boundary that makes this possible. But what if the particle and boundary were the same? If there was no distinction, if a point could reflect against its own history, if a ray could change its conditions as it experiences them? If light could interact with itself and countless others simultaneously in a fractalized infinity, shaped by time, giving structure to time itselfwhere might it end up?

"Odysseys" is all about diving into a mix of cool digital vibes and a splash of old-school storybook magic. Imagine flipping through your favorite childhood adventure book, but with a twistthere"s a bit of a pixel party going on. It"s like these pieces are little puzzles, maps of epic tales that happened once upon a time, captured in a single frame. Think of it as a snapshot of a whole adventure from start to finish, with every corner holding a piece of the action.

Each artwork is kind of like a treasure map or a game level that"s already been played through. You can zoom into any part of the picture and spot different bits of the storymaybe a fierce battle here, a wild discovery there. It"s like having a bird"s-eye view of a whole world of tales, all squished into one vibrant, living scene.

The cool thing about these pieces? They"re a mix of old and new. You"ve got pixels and glitches that might remind you of video games, mashed up with these swirly waves that could totally belong in a Van Gogh painting. But let"s not stop there. Imagine those waves carrying a bit of that serene, intricate beauty you find in Japanese bybu panels or estampesthose stunning artworks that tell a story all on their own. It"s this blend that"s all about sparking that feeling of nostalgia, like a nod to the fun, colorful, and sometimes chaotic stories that filled our heads as kids.

I"m not trying to spell out a specific message with the digital and organic bits clashing and mingling in my work. It"s more about creating something that looks cool and feels a bit nostalgic, something that makes you think of adventures and stories in a new way.

What I really hope is that when you check out these pieces, you"ll start seeing your own stories in them. I"ve set the stage with these algorithms and designs, but it"s up to you to fill in the blanks. Maybe you"ll see a piece and think, "Hey, that looks like the secret forest from that game I loved," or "That totally reminds me of the pirate stories I used to dream about." Or maybe you"ll catch a hint of that tranquil, detailed vibe you get from Japanese art, making the story even richer. That"s the goalmaking art that"s not just mine but becomes a bit of yours too.

Enlace merges digital art with traditional cane weaving to craft physical objects from generative outputs. Each generative token is a piece of digital art and a set of instructions which can be used by the collector to create a unique chair or a woven canvas by Maison Louis Drucker, the historic Parisian chair manufacturer. The term "Enlace" denotes linking or intertwining in English and an embrace in French, emphasizing the project"s aim to unite algorithmic code with the timeless human craft of weaving. Visually expressed through the format of the weaving draft, Enlace reduces its visual language, offering minimal instructions for creating woven pieces. It encodes potential rather than final product, providing the necessary instructions for crafting a woven chair or canvas, blending contemporary technology with traditional craftsmanship. Descent is an attempt to represent depth using only characters from the code page 437 (CP437 for short, or extended ASCII).  
The viewer is taken on an infinite journey along a column made of characters; the characters lose their original meaning and become shapes, structure.

The Dahomey Amazons were an inspiration to Marvel when creating the Dora Milaje - the sworn protectors of The Black Panther.
