Heartstrings is a collection of 400 AI-assisted art pieces that capture the magic of childhood and the wonder of imagination. Inspired by my new daughter and the art I wanted to create for her room, the collection features a mix of real-life landscapes and fantasy elements, representing fleeting memories from childhood. Some pieces represent actual scenes from my past, while others are inspired by books Ive read as a kid.

As a new father, I realized that one of the most important things I can do is to help spark curiosity and inspire imagination in my child. "Heartstrings" is a reflection of this aspiration and a dialogue between my present and future self, exploring the bond between parent and child and the role of memory in shaping our perceptions of the world.

Valley Girls, a collection of serial 1/1s, is an exploration of the Uncanny Valley through AI-generated portraits. 

The Valley is a reference to the Uncanny Valley, a term used to describe the phenomenon where something that is almost, but not quite, human-like in appearance or behavior can cause a feeling of unease or revulsion in people. This concept was first proposed by Japanese roboticist Masahiro Mori in 1970. It is often used to describe the potential negative reactions to highly realistic humanoid robots or digital avatars that are close to, but not quite, human-like. 


In an attempt to bridge art and NFTs, the portraits feature traits based on popular collections from across  the Web3 universe. These traits dissolve into the portraits and will be instantly recognizable to those in the know.

LATENT COUTURE is a collection of 555 AI fashion statements generated from photographs of Woodbridge's years of experience as a performer, painter, designer, and nightlife icon. The opposite of a deepfake, this mode of generative AI reaches into the latent space to find the deepreal. Each image branches from a moment in Woodbridge's life, articulating ephemeral threads and potential ways of being. Developed from the concept that 'a look is a meme,' each of these fashion statements says, 'This person is possible.'

Artifacts mean many things.  

They are the products of humanity and of machine learning. They are also errors of perception and representation. At the end, they are traces of what has been and what might be  evidence of our majesty and fallibility.  

These _artifacts_ are an attempt to imagine a new token economy where both image and coinage can challenge tired histories. By harnessing the emergent potential of generative AI, they unearth the unexpected while hinting at human-machine cultures not yet discovered.  

Through a process of devoted iteration, we have inserted alternative histories into the complex of ancient and medieval money, thereby posing the question: what might images of pregnancy, of family, and of domesticity mean when minted onto currency?  

Our tokens tell simple stories of private lives but the identities of their subjects remain unknown. _artifacts_ exist in a space of contested histories, displacing value from established, patriarchal power and situating it in our homes. In doing so, they ask the collector to join in the creation of new meanings.
