On August 10, 2021, I took the leap and flew to Mexico without a return ticket. I had just graduated, moved out of my old apartment, sold most of my belongings, and committed myself to making my dreams come true. What was planned as a three-month internship turned into a year of diving, traveling and personal growth. For five months, I lived in Mexico, diving almost every day in the Caribbean. But there was something that absolutely blew me away: the cenotes of Mexico. I lost my whole heart to diving and being able to dive there and enjoy the experience to the fullest completely changed my life. I realized how passionate I was about the ocean, diving and the underwater world. Within a year, so many opportunities opened up to me, and I wouldn"t be where I am now if I hadn"t followed my heart. 200 bar stands for the maximum air pressure in standard-sized scuba tanks that you normally start a dive with in recreational diving.

Summit Name: Three Fingers Mountain

Location: Cascade Range, Washington State

Three Fingers mountain is part of the Cascade Range and it is the 12th most prominent peak in Washington State. First climbed in 1929 by local climbers Harry Bedal and Harold Engles. Theres a fire lookout on the southernmost peak, originally built over a three-year period between 1930-32. 

I took this image during a two day solo backpacking trip to the summit of Vesper peak about 30 miles south of Three Fingers. For me personally, Vesper peak is one of the best views in the state of Washington. At 6,858 ft. you can see a wild range of peaks in seemingly perfect succession from this summit. 

It was a windless and relatively clear night under a full moon on my ledge below the summit. I woke the following morning at 3am to the pings of climbers ice axe hitting granite, and unzipped my tent to see this scene before me. The following eight hours of hiking and photography was the epitome of a perfect backpacking trip, and a story Ill look back on fondly for the rest of my life.

The sun was about to set when I noticed these hikers still ascending a volcano in Guatemala. Because this is an active volcano, the hikers were up lateto witness the eruptions firsthand. I decided to stay back and photograph them because I was pleased with the composition from a distance. I"d love to thank them in person for giving my image the perfect sense of scale!

April 29th was one of the best chase days of the season so far. We started our day on the Oklahoma/Kanas boarder. We slowly drifted North into Kansas; storms started to go north of Wichita we quickly moved into place. Storms were slow to get going but eventually this storm took off. It quickly started to show some gorgeous structure. It ended up producing a brief tornado. Then the storm turned into this stunning mothership and almost put down another tornado. But the storm was quicky undercut by the cold front .

Senja island"s Devil"s Teeth (Oksehornan) are probably the most iconic and famous landmark. On a cloudy night, as everyone had abandoned hope about seeing the northern lights (this place usually is packed with tourists), I stuck around, as experienced had previously taught me better. And one more time, it was the right decision. As the clouds broke for an hour or so, the aurora danced above the sharp peaks, allowing for a cool reflection on the only puddle that had formed in the rocky shore.

In the pursuit of extraordinary experiences, explosive color palettes, and majestic light shows, a funny thing happened. Each outing I found myself surrounded by such subtle beauty during the dimly lit hours. I fell in love with hues of blue, mutating contours, and expressive shadows.
