Waveform Collapse is a generative art collection, inspired by the Quantum Mechanics* concept that the universe collapses into reality by our act of observing (minting) it.The art in this collection is generated using an autonomous system that uses the collector's unique transaction Hash after they mint an NFT. The act of minting collapses the waveform system into art. This will be a rolling reveal since all this is done by hand.Ive created an interlinked complex generative system, built using After Effects, expressions, and javascript with five connected files, and multiple procedural noise patterns, with the capability to use the variables that come from the Hash numbers to generate each piece of unique art.

Bajamos y subimos las escaleras con la vista fija en llegar a nuestro destino perdindonos de la hermosa arquitectura que nos rodea.

En un instante sent la necesidad de tomar todas mis fotografas de Valparaso, Via del Mar y Quilpu y pasarlas por un entrenamiento StyleGan2 con el cual gener esta obra. Utilic la inteligencia artificial para reunir todos mis recuerdos y emociones sobre lo cotidiano de mi origen. Los sonidos son parte de este recuerdo. Sonidos que te llevan a un lugar que ya conoces y recuerdas como parte de tu ser. Esta obra te lleva en una caminata interna y personal.

May Summer never end. That feeling at the end of a sun and water-filled day after entering flow state with nature.

Generative AI Artwork trained on my personal photograph collection

This work is part of "Memory." A series that explores the boundary of home, of belonging to a place or group. I"ve photographed my hometown over the years and ran those images through an AI training, generating both videos and images. The resulting generative AI artworks captured my uncomfortable state of not being sure of the past nor present, the here or there. A metaversal reality appears from this amalgam of worlds I experience; the real, the fictional and the digital. A new world has appeared and I no longer have to decide which I belong to.

Ana Mara Caballero

Things We Are Saving to Write is a collaborative poem written by Ana Mara Caballero using contributions received from visitors to bitforms gallery during its Code Chronicles exhibition (NY, March 3Apr 15, 2023), curated by Aleksandra Artamonovskaja.

Caballero created a poem for Code Chronicles called Things I Am Saving to Write, inspired by Ernest Hemingways story The Snows of Kilimanjaro, in which the main character is unexpectedly and irrevocably faced with his imminent mortality. During the length of the exhibition, visitors were invited to submit things they were saving to write and to visualize them via a Stable Diffusion text-to-image generation station.  

Caballero culled from over 100 visitor submissions to compose a new poem, a chronicle of Code Chronicles, using visitors" visualizations as well as interpreting their words to create new ones.

As a poet, Caballero uses words to generate images within peoples minds. By using the imagery of her verse as the foundation of AI prompting and then crafting a visual narrative from these images, Caballero brings our collective unconscious into direct dialogue with languages unspoken connotations, calling forth the entanglements of meaning-making. 

Prompting is deeply tied to poetrywriting workshops offer students prompts to inspire poemsbut, here, language generates visuals in form of reverse ekphrasis. Via her image curation, Caballero evinces the wide array of emotions that stem from text, as well as the tension between the private and the public, between the mythical and the historic, between the figurative and the verbatim that hide within the layers of verse. 

Caballeros exploration of the poetics of prompts distills the materiality of language, inviting us to contemplate our visceral reactions to words and the vastness of our imagination.
