Fake Gold

This song was one of about 30 that came about from a series of sound design sessions last month. I tried not to overthink it and ended up with some interesting textures and harmonies. The lyrics come from an idea I"ve been playing around with for years...I found them in an old notebook and decided they fit the track perfectly. This is also the first piece of music I"ve released where I also made the artwork, which I"m pretty excited about. So yeaaa, I hope you enjoy it!

Sundreamer

"Sundreamer" represents a bit of a rebirth for me. Going through the loss of my father this past year crushed a lot of my creative spirit. My dad was someone I could always send my demos to and he would use his keen ears to give me feedback. Part of the joy I got from making music was getting to share my work with him. Losing him took a lot out of me. 

Even before my dad got sick, I was on a strange trajectory with music. I was pretty caught up in trying to make music that would perform well on streaming services. Often I would optimize my songs to fit Spotify playlists so I could make a decent income. The downside of that was that I was making quite a few creative sacrifices and just wasnt enjoying what I was making anymore. 

With Sundreamer Im going back to my roots of making music for the joy of it. Im in a new creative chapter now and am shedding that popularity-centric point of view. Music and creativity are so important to me that I need to let them flourish before I worry about anything else. 

Im back to basics, making music that speaks to my soul.

Everythings Green is the genesis Sound xyz drop from Southern California alternative hip-hop duo & cousins, The Gooneez. 

This chill new song mixes melodic production reminiscent of a nice breeze on a Sunday afternoon with a smooth flow that that fits the vibe right. 

Inspired by everyday life, the lyrics to this song express how music provides the soundtrack for artists to create audio experiences based on their environment & the score of reality.

PARADE

PARADE was my second release this year. It talks about personal growth and the desire to leave your old life behind. It describes the feeling of betrayal you experience when dealing with snakes in the grass, exes and old friends appear out of nowhere at the sight of success.
