De La Naught is a post-photographic animation series that breathes life into sequences of still frames, revealing captivating and perpetually evolving worlds. Rooted in a childlike sense of wonder, it intertwines subjects and abstractions with themes that both threaten and embrace the intricate tapestry of the human condition.

Through this 100-piece collection, generated using a variety of distinctively trained personal diffusion models, PUBLIKFRUIT seeks to understand which images leave an imprint on our minds, and how they may evolve to challenge our perceptions. Ursula 3 #53 by Hannah Whitaker

This collection of photographs expands on a character who has been the focal point of my work for a few years: Ursula. I leave ambiguous exactly who and what she is. Her nature is something between an AI, a fictional character, an avatar, a product of the collective imagination, and a living, fully dimensional, being. 

I have previously made two bodies of work with her. The first I published with Image Text Ithaca Press in a book called Ursula. These photographs also comprise my genesis NFT drop. The second I showed recently at Galerie Christophe Gaillard in Paris in an exhibition called Shadow Detail. This third body of work is the first made specifically for the NFT space. Im calling it Ursula 3, as the third iteration of the project, and in a nod to Web3.

These photographs incorporate some of the photographic techniques that I have used in the past in cultivating the mystique of Ursulasilhouettes, special effect lighting, and printed backgrounds. For Ursula 3 I combined these techniques with a more hands-on approach to set building. I had several props and set materials fabricated out of mirrored plexi, including patterned screens, Ursulas profile, and her hands. I also had made a turtleneck, gloves, and hoods in reflective materials. In addition to using these props, I incorporated rear projection, a technique used in a pre-digital era of Hollywood filmmaking. 

The sets are more complex than I had done previously, with the intent of making the space in the photographs stranger, more layered, and more difficult to decipher. The resulting photographs evoke the established language of the Ursula lineage but usher her into an increasingly synthetic universe.

This video conveys a strong sense of urgency regarding the transgression of boundaries. It addresses not only the geopolitical limits involved in territorial conflicts but also the ethical boundaries that are often tested amidst ideological clashes. The choice of sounds and the visual transformation of the maps reinforce the theme of instability and rapid changes that characterize both geographical and moral borders in times of war.

As an artist, I have always been drawn to the power of visual storytelling. Through my work, I aim to create images that challenge the viewer's perceptions and encourage them to think deeply about the world around them. I have a diverse background in traditional mediums, such as Photography, 3D and graphic design. Still, when I discovered the world of AI art, I felt liberated from these mediums' constraints. 

In The Great Freeze, I am creating an imaginary event where everything got covered in snow. The collection explores how a photography documentation of this event around the world could look like. My goal is to harness the power of AI to tell stories that inspire, provoke, and engage the viewer on a deep level.

A Quiet Existence

Urban Transportation; Red Trucks

In Urban Transportation, Cartagena focuses on various modes of transportation used by workers in urban environments, particularly highlighting the ubiquitous red trucks. Shooting cars and trucks as they drive to work in the morning, Cartagena has been able to capture a stunning snapshot of what is the daily routine of a city. The colors and textures of the vehicles and objects, mixed with the contemporary idea of customizing vehicles make for arresting imagery of a contemporary Mexican city.
