Glimpses of the Ethereal by Andrs Hernndez

Loss, memory, and dreams are the central themes of my work. My constant goal is to capture the ephemeral, disconcerting, melancholic, and surreal nature of dreams and memories through the distortion and destruction of analog and digital images. I have always been fascinated by the power that dream images and memories have on me. This fascination has led me to experiment with photography, trying to represent the atmospheres of these intangible worlds. The use of digital intervention and artificial intelligence has allowed me to create these dreamscapes, where vision is rarely clear, and identities are blurred by the noise of the mind. The physical destruction of the image serves as an analogy to the ephemeral and finite condition of memory. I work with the tools of the present while staying firmly anchored to the past.

Romeo and Juliet: The Sequel

This collection, entitled "Romeo and Juliet: The Sequel," features distinct portions of a larger artwork originally created for a friend who takes comfort in death, admires Baz Luhrmann"s "Romeo and Juliet," and has a fondness for the bizarre and uncanny, much like the works of Hieronymous Bosch.

Each piece is a unique creation, showcasing a blend of surreal and thought-provoking imagery that explores themes of life and death, and the surreal.

I hope this distinctive artwork offers a glimpse into the unconventional and the fantastical, as we celebrate the strange and the wondrous.

The End

This is a "latent painting", a digital artwork forged in the latent space of an artificial intelligence neural network model.

To create this model, thousands of variations of a single AI generated artwork are first created, all similar with slight mutations.  This dataset of images is then trained for hundreds of hours into the final model.

This final model, also called a GAN (Generative Adversarial Network), can replicate an infinite amount of "new" paintings based on the dataset it was trained on, and we can traverse its multi-dimensional latent space to create interpolation animation.

It"s this kind of animation, moving through latent space, which offers a new way to experience the infinite facets and nuanced viewpoints of a single artwork in space and time.

Only three variations of "Symbiosis" will be created.

**Intimit**, Stefano Contiero"s latest collection, explores the themes of intimacy and discovery. The work emphasizes uncovering the deeper aspects of our relationships and suggesting that genuine, meaningful connection can only be fully experienced when the veil of surface appearances is lifted.

Building a relationship is often considered a process of construction, where two individuals come together to form a bond. However, the process can also be seen as deconstruction, where both partners must tear down the walls they have built around themselves, exposing their vulnerabilities and allowing themselves to be known.

Contiero"s works feature open fields of color that melt together to create an effect reminiscent of marbling. Vibrant hues are subtly aged with a patina, enhancing each piece"s visual impact and giving it a sense of depth and movement. Through Contiero"s striking compositions, he invites us to consider the role physical and emotional obstacles play in shaping our experiences of intimacy. Only through time and deep exploration can these barriers be removed.

No Bushi was used more than once in makingt this Megapixel portrait of Bill Murray.

To achieve exceptional depth of color and image quality, I created hundreds of thousands of original Bushi images to use as next generation mega-pixels. Each Bushi has its own unique character and personality.

With the Megapixels process, I seek to bring a touch of nostalgia to the constantly evolving intersection of art and technology: the sharp, geometric tiles both evoke traditional pixels while showcasing miniature, fully-formed works of art.
