The Lobstars, a 7,777 collection, NFT project by British Contemporary Artist, Philip Colbert, often referred to as the godson of Andy Warhol. He and his Lobster character are world renowned and have exhibited in galleries across the globe.
The Lobstars are the citizens of Lobsteropolis, the largest art world in Decentraland. We'll continue to build upon Lobsteropolis in Decentraland, develop Lobster Robotics, collaborate with other projects, and develop the world in more physical and digital spaces.

The Lobstars

The Lobstars is a collection of 7777 lobster portraits by British contemporary artist, Philip Colbert, often referred to as the godson of Andy Warhol. He and his lobster character are world renowned and have exhibited in galleries across the globe. Colbert has collaborated with luxury brands such as Bentley Motors, Rolex, MontBlanc, Christian Louboutin, COMME des GARONS and Adidas. Each Lobstar token will come complete with a passport ID for Lobsteropolis. The Lobstars will fund research on the Lobster species, support 1 Lobster released in the wild per NFT minted, develop Lobster Robotics with the UCL Robotics lab, and continue to collaborate with other incredible brands and NFT projects, as well activate his beautiful Lobster artwork in more physical and digital spaces.

My friend Cliff from Google tipped me off on this place. He sent me his own photo and I go, "I gotta get in there!" Even though it's a real bookstore, you actually have to buy a ticket around the corner to get inside. I thought that was a bit strange, but they do subtract the cost of your ticket if you buy a book, so that's pretty cool.

Obviously, this is not the actual bookstore from Harry Potter (which is one of my favorite locations from the series!), but it was definitely inspired by it. I spent hours in here... there were many quirky books, which is my kinda style.

The class took a nice stroll through these gardens when I was running one of my workshops and I challenged people to try to get five different photos of this bridge. This was one of mine.

The actual shot I took was much bigger, but I decided to crop down in post to focus on the water. I liked the way the reflections all looked like brush strokes. It made me begin to understand why Monet spent so much time trying to capture the strange light that comes from water and plants.

This is GUD by LOGIK. Best buds, Gud & Evol, were created with the halo and horn, even though one represents a heaven angel and the other a demon from down under. This illustrates that good and bad are ultimately subjective. Whether an action is good or evil can depend on a variety of factors, including the intentions of the person performing the action, the consequences of the action, the cultural or societal context in which the action is performed, and the values and beliefs of the individual or group making the judgment. GUD and EVOL were created to inspire us to be the best version of ourselves despite the status quo of what should be. We have one life to live, live it proper.
