Roots by Sam King

Roots is a collection of photographs that explore Sam King"s connection to the Scottish Highlands. Being in the Highlands gives Sam a sense of wonder that these are the lands his ancestors once traveled through. The effect is calming but also strangely primal, a subtle undertone of anxiousness. The images try to capture that feeling while showing the rugged beauty of the amazing landscape. Being both in awe and swarmed by the mountains and fog. An inviting yet hostile place.

5 Stages Of Grief - What is next?

Constant, traumatic grief can cause us to cycle (sometimes quickly) through the stages of grief. These stages are our attempts to digest the changes and protect ourselves while we adapt to the new reality.

Anger  When the individual recognizes that denial cannot continue, they become frustrated, especially at proximate individuals. Certain psychological responses of a person undergoing this phase would be: "Why me? It"s not fair!"; "How can this happen to me?"; "Who is to blame?"; "Why would this happen?". Also describes the need for people to do their best to let those who are in this stage feel their feelings and try not to take the anger personally. 

But what awaits us in the end?
