Alternate is a collection of abstract real-time animations, that start with simple compositions and color palettes to evolve endlessly and to develop a depth in geometry and color over time. All pixel movements are restricted to their eight surrounding neighbors and occur at the speed of exactly one pixel per frame.

The artworks are written in GLSL (WebGL2) and JavaScript, utilize the P3 color space and respond to any screen size.

The code is fully on-chain to be delivered directly from the Smart Contract without any third party render engine involved. Unlike usual, the work extends into the field of action of the preview image, making it part of the work.

Each NFT includes 4 versions of the artwork, that can be alternated by its owner by calling the modify function of the Smart Contract. The alternation call is protected by a fee and can not be reverted.

Bright Moments

FOLIO is a generative drawing system, inspired by concrete poetry and early computer artwork, that emits an output process for a given input. Each output may be realized digitally, in print, or through another medium. The drawing system, coded in JavaScript, recursively packs bins of data to fill the page, constrained entirely by the use of typographic glyphs and a limited mono-, duo-, or tri-colour palette.

The palettes are inspired by the Ringers collection, and the traits are derived from Cryptopunks. A hand hammered vessel and variations of stands forged from pure copper.

Forging is the process of heating a metal until it becomes malleable, like clay, and can be shaped with hammer and anvil, or other means of force. Forging is distinct from casting, where a metal is melted and poured into a mold. 

The vessel is hand hammered from a thick sheet of copper. One stand is of riveted construction, the other a coiling formed from a single flat bar.
