I called my parents already: no power nor running water. I checked in on my friends: no power nor running water. What can I do? Hurricanes are tough even as Puerto Ricans living away from the island. My mind is consumed by it. I cant even help my parents or my friends. But I can do this. I can raise funds for people who help my community. I wouldnt be able to do this without you. Thank you.

A lot of rage and sadness comes with the hue of blue and line-work used. As if it reaches out for help in these darker moments, for someone to care at least a little bit. Its easy to turn a blind eye, if the problem isnt right in front of you.

In the event of an environmental disaster, money is sent to places that can return a greater value. While usually causing the most damage to the global ecosystems, the wealthiest countries theoretically are able to repair the destruction done with money collected from their endeavors. But wealth is only shared to places that can grant a larger return on investment. Finances towards healing a ravaged land turns into an ocean of debt, and these expenditures from the most powerful leaders function only to create a country of indentured servitude. A boat, thrown by the sea, carries resources needed to manage the lives on land. In the chaos of disaster, the sea takes advantage of its power, and takes the boat under. What arises are different materials to be sent to the statue behind it all; untouched, unphased, and amassing its wealth behind its unmoving face. People take resources and wealth given by these global leaders into rebuilding their lives. But the sea of debt under the country can bankrupt the population. Financial resources are drained from the people, only to uphold the facade of charity held by world leaders today.

Decentralizedicks Welcome to The Par-D!

Decentralize the D & F the system. The mission and message has always been clear, but its not always easy for me to share my history and work on the internet. You see, I may have been put in a box, but I am so grateful to be on the blocks.  Decentralization is freedom, its power, and it is essential to arm everyone with the tools to succeed in this world. I started making sculptures on dill doughs before I knew about the blockchain, and at a certain point, social media was no longer an option for me. This experience opened my eyes to those who need this far more than I, and led me down the path to discovering NFTs and Blockchain Technology. Decentralizing the D has been a mission since day one, and despite creating & building in a variety of ways, consistently inspired by this space, I would be nothing without it. The tools that truly allow everyone self sovereignty are life changing. This piece is art. It This is just art. Its the mission. It is the message. It is everything a snapshot of why I am here, and a reminder for anyone who is on board.  So much of this space has turned into playing the FP game, but at the end of the day, that is not why I create. I create to spread a message, awareness, and conversation. Art is made for everyone to join. The ability to make open editions, where any one who relates can participate is game changing. What fun is a world where everyone is molded by what is acceptable to be said and spread? It is Impossible for so many to break free of assumptions that are made by actions without context, from the moment you were born. Blockchain technology changes that; it can change the world. And it needs to be accessible to those who need it the most. I understand the games and the hype of the space now. But it goes so much deeper. How do we protect the people whos voices truly need to be heard? How do we elevate them. With our wallets, we are the search engine. We are the Algorithm. Decentralizing the D and F ing the system is for those who want to exist outside the box, and on the blocks.

It was one of December"s late night hours when I was expecting dense fog. Before this, I never got a chance to shoot something like this from a rooftop. I had to try my luck so as soon I saw the fog rolling into the city, I went straight to one of the tallest buildings in Dubai. I knew I won"t get access but still went to the security guy and requested if I can get access to the rooftop to take some photos. After some discussion & negotiation, he agreed and I got access to the top but for a very limited time.

After reaching the rooftop, I took some time to grasp the view I was looking at. The Dubai skyscrapers were looking like floating above the sea of clouds & Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) was standing out from all the buildings around. 

So, here goes the photo I captured that night (a panorama shot). I decided to mint this piece on my 43rd Birthday. I wanted to make this piece accessible to everyone, especially who provided me with so much support in the last few months on this wonderful space.

After visiting Nubra valley I was on my way back to Leh. It was a beautiful morning with the clouds creating beautiful patterns in the sky. Ladakh is usually known for its clear skies and a cloudy sky was a pretty rare view. On my way back, I saw this beautiful shallow waterbody reflecting the atmosphere as if it is a mirror. I felt like nature smiling at me.
