Jkulsarlon is a glacial lagoon bordering Vatnajkull National Park in southeast Iceland. The lagoon flows through a short waterway into the Atlantic Ocean, leaving giant chunks of ice on the black sand beach. In winter hundreds of seals cavort in the fish-rich lagoon.

Like a bird through a land like before our time. Captivated by the wonderland of Cappadocia. Everything here reminds me of "The Flintstones" series, and I can"t help but wonder if this is where the iconic Stone Age family calls home. Who knows? Maybe we"ll spot Fred and Barney out for a walk. It"s amazing how nature can conjure up such breathtaking scenes that make you feel like you"ve stepped into a different world. Cappadocia, you"ve left me spellbound.

During the magic of blue hour, a lone rider stands atop a rocky outcropping in the heart of Cappadocia. Taken on the very first evening, this photo is one of the highlights of Dennis Schmelz" winter trip to Cappadocia. Using his drone, Dennis managed to find a unique and breathtaking perspective that has never been captured before in this often-photographed landscape.  Artfully grasping the essence of the moment, Dennis is able to transport the viewer to another world.  The rider symbolizes the freedom and adventure that lay ahead in this mystical land.
