Plastic is without a doubt one of the most special songs I've made. Evan and I wrote this in my Brooklyn apt 3 days before I moved out and came to LA. The overall tone and sentiment of the song just feels so honest and pure. It almost sounds like the song has been around for a while and I've already made memories to it when I was in high school. That's when I knew it was special. I sent it to Reo to see what he thought, and before he even texted me back I just got an email with a fully recorded vocal over it. I think Evan & Reo compliment each other so perfectly and I couldn't be happier to have them both on this.

maia is also swedish and we've spent a lot of time together, so this collaboration felt really natural to us. the song was written along with two amazing people named devan glover and grant boutin. this is a track that brings us back to our roots a bit after releasing alt-dance records for two years. hope we can make people feel good when they listen /sam & tobi

FINAL ARRIVAL is my genesis drop on Sound.xyz and I"m proud to be sharing the moment with my OG web3 collaborator Jadyn Violet. 

About myself, I"ve been working in the music industry for the past 15 years, initially as an audio engineer and now as a full time producer. At the beginning of 2022 I found my way into the web3 music scene and have been quietly following along ever since. I"ve made a lot of good friends in the space so far, many of whom are Artists I"ve been collaborating with, so stay tuned for more releases to come.

It was super beautiful to work with James Chul Rim aka Chorus of the Forest once again. 

We first connected in the middle of last year when we linked up for our track "Sugar Sweet Girl". Coming off of a huge writer"s block, James" production style inspired me to finally write a track that meant a lot to me. It was amazing to see a lot of the Web3 community resonate with that track and it only made sense to come out with a follow up. 

I can summarize the essence of our collaboration by tying it straight to a dark, trap like sound that I feel is super unique. I got the chance to truly be uncomfortable with the song "FINAL ARRIVAL" in the best way possible and I"m so excited for everyone to listen to it!

Religion's Epitome

I grew up in the church. I learned the rules, the christian lingo, the do"s and don"ts, ALL OF IT. As i"ve aged, i"ve come to believe love is what matters, not a set of religious rules that we must all abide by. I am not spreading hate towards any religion, i"m only shining a light on my experience with it. This song is hard for me to write and release... i"m clueless as to what my family will think of it and how they might see me for it. I"m just sick of watching religion breed hate and, equally so, all the hate people have towards religion. There is such a massive divide in the world and we forget we are all one. I hope you all can take time to truly listen to the lyrics. This is exclusively on sound.xyz for the next week!
